Our last day had finally arrived! It's hard to believe that only 490 days prior to this moment that the students had attended the information meeting about a trip that would give them exposure to the what we've learned in class. At the morning breakfast and bus ride, we heard that it's hard to believe that it's over already, I don't want to go back home, this was an amazing experience. Some of the kids asked me why I continue to organize these programs year after year and I gave them some of the quotes that I heard throughout the trip. As we arrived at the airport, the kids did not want to leave without saying goodbye and getting one last picture with Raquel. This was one of her favorite groups and one of the most independent groups as a whole. They went through adversity without any complaining and enjoyed the 10-12 miles a day that they toured the city! After reflecting and living in the moment with Spain and Portugal, we look ahead to 355 days later for Peru 2018!
